Firefox 4 Beta 1 available, download now

Yesterday Mozilla released the first official beta build of Mozilla Firefox 4 for Windows. Firefox 4 Beta includes an updated Windows interface that’s sleeker and easier to use. The UI of Firefox 4 is totally revamped (for Windows Vista and 7) with better support for Internet standards to compete in browser war.

Key Features:

User Interface: Tabs are now on top by default on Windows only and the menu bar has been replaced with the Firefox button. That gives much similar experience of Office button with put of Google Chrome’s tab management. Beside it, the stop and reload buttons have been merged into a single button. You might miss Bookmarks toolbar, which is replaced with a Bookmarks button by default. (you can switch it back if you’d like).
Better support for Internet Standards: Firefox 4 is based on the Gecko 2.0 Web platform that is designed by Mozilla Corp, a layout engine of the Firefox web browser to support open Internet standards. Gecko is the second most-popular layout engine on the WWW, after Trident which is used by IE since version 4.
Firefox 4 supports HD HTML5 WebM video format natively, so you can watch open HD quality video. It comes with new HTML5 parser and support for more HTML5 form controls and CSS3 which helps web designers to make their pages both look prettier and display faster.
Crash Protection: Unlike v3.6.4, it provides uninterrupted browsing for Windows and Linux users when there is a crash in the Adobe Flash, Apple Quicktime or Microsoft Silverlight plugins. If a plugin crashes or freezes, it will not affect the rest of Firefox. You will be able to reload the page to restart the plugin and try again.
New Add-Ons Manager: It gives an easier way to manage your add-ons and discover new options for personalizing your browsing. Now Add-ons Manager opens in tab instead of dialog box which is much similar to Google Chrome.
